I've always resonated with this quote by Priya Sher. This is so true. I am enjoying this Soulmate experience now and it brought me into a world of emotions and energies like no other, and it strongly drew me deeper into my soul , the deepest I have ever been... and everyday I am still amazed at the things I find out about myself.
They say we are our own Soulmates, the other is only a reflection, and when the reflection becomes so clear there is no denying the truth that both people bring about in each other. There is no denying the deep connection, the truth that only you know of... right there in your face. The hardest thing to do in the world is to face who we are.
You can run away from this, but running away will only hurt for you are really running away from yourself. You cannot escape who you are. You have to face yourself, sooner or later, no matter the cost or circumstance. And you will learn so much about yourself. When you begin to embrace who you are, whatever you do becomes gifted energy...
The effect of your Soulmate works in extremes though. Just take a mirror and look into it... A mirror cannot change you, it can only reflect who you are... your strengths and weaknesses all become known to you, if you aren't aware of them yet. You see all that you are... your attractive features, your expressions, even your blisters, and wrinkles, and blemishes.
It can either throw you in an endless abyss of self denial (they call this the "runner", but it really is just the one who can't accept the reality of who they are) OR it can lift you up to the heights of your BEing.
When you realize the infinite potential you have ,despite of all your flaws, you begin to create your dream, and dreamers can only awaken each other, and the world that crosses their paths.
This is the Soulmate connection, as I see it, at its core. It does seem that you are transforming, but you really are simply REMEMBERING who you are.... and it can be the most empowering moment in your life so cherish it when it comes.
Knowing that you are no longer chained by the fantasy you have built in time, and you can be free, to be yourself and that you are free to share who you are with your partner...is a great source of strength and inspiration. There is no more judgement, only UNDERSTANDING, acceptance, and forgiveness, and enthusiasm for what is there to come.
That is a very insightful post and I related to it very much. Thank you for that. It seems people are always looking outside themselves for a soulmate. Maybe it is time to look within.
