We can go for the stage and begin the experience by memorizing scripts, assume a character, play out that character, put on a face and a costume to be recognized and accepted, get paid to laugh even if we want to cry, and cry even if we want to laugh, get applauded or criticized for who we are not and keep repeating this experience OR we can go offstage, where there are no curtains, where anything goes, and where we begin the experience by fading into the crowd like a wave meeting the ocean.
