One solemn afternoon
I wrote a song for One Divine
To make the shadows hymn with light
To make them fade in mine
I let the thunder speak to me
In Eastern skies it passed
And soon the sign emerged
It heard the melody at last
The beating drums within
A heart had beckoned it to rise
I ran to meet the orange mist
I gazed upon the skies
And there I saw it swinging low
The graceful dancing sun
I fall upon my knees and pray
A story has begun
I wrote a song for One Divine
To make the shadows hymn with light
To make them fade in mine
I let the thunder speak to me
In Eastern skies it passed
And soon the sign emerged
It heard the melody at last
The beating drums within
A heart had beckoned it to rise
I ran to meet the orange mist
I gazed upon the skies
And there I saw it swinging low
The graceful dancing sun
I fall upon my knees and pray
A story has begun
